Spotlight: Employee of the Month! Meet Kristin!

As we welcomed the new year, we introduced a new feature to our blog. It's Spotlight: Employee of the Month- and we are shining the spotlight squarely on the very reason we exist- the wonderful, hard-working employees that we place each and every day.  You'll meet folks from all walks of life, many who have never used a recruiting firm like SquadBuilders before.

You might even read about someone that sounds just like you!  #JoinTheSquad

Name: Kristin

Profession: Registered Nurse

How many years in the industry? 2 years

1.  What drew you to SquadBuilders?

I really wasn't looking for a new job, but once I started talking to Ashleigh, my recruiter, she made me realize there were many amazing opportunities to expand my career. With her help and encouragement, I discovered my passion to pursue bigger dreams in my career as a nurse.

2. What do you like most about working with SquadBuilders?

I think what I like most about SquadBuilders is the fact that it is a small, family-owned business. Everyone treats you like family; you aren't just a number there. They aren't "head hunters," they treat you like family and I know that Ashleigh has my back and my best interests in mind. She always reaches out to see how the job is going or if I need anything. You don't find that with many employers.

3. What do you like to do outside of work?

I love to spend time with my husband and our dogs doing things outdoors. We have land that we ride our four wheelers and side-by-side on with friends and family. When it's summer time, I spend my free time by our pool reading a good book. I enjoy fishing and hunting too, though I'm not very good at it..

4. What is your favorite part of working in Nursing?

I love that everyday there is more and more advancement in medicine to provide the best care for our patients. My favorite part of my job is patient education. So many patients that I see are anxious for the procedure they are getting and it is my job to develop a trusting relationship with them. I love educating patients so that they understand exactly what we will be doing and help ease their anxiety and know that I will be right by there side through it all. When I get that "thank you" or "you took such great care of me," that is what makes the difficult times worth it.

5. What is your favorite quote?

"Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle." -Christian D. Larson
