It’s truly a team effort here at SquadBuilders, and from time to time, we like to feature one of our staffers. Today, you’ll meet Tabitha Dutton, SquadBuilders Nurse Recruiter. Welcome to our team, Tabitha! We're so happy to have you on board!
1. What do you love about working at SquadBuilders?
I love that SquadBuilders wants to help their employees grow and learn something new constantly. There is never a dull moment. I also really enjoy that SquadBuilders has given me the opportunity to help good people get good jobs.
2. How many years' experience have you had in recruiting?
Prior to becoming a part of the SquadBuilder’s team, I have had 5+ years of sales experience. However, I am new to recruiting but very excited for this new adventure.
3. Who is your hero and why?
I would have to say my hero is my mom. She is someone very close to my heart and she is always looking at the positive in every situation. I really admire that about her.
4. What book are you reading right now?
Currently, I am reading Good Profit by Charles Koch and International Business; Environment and Operations.
5. KU, K State or Mizzou?
I just moved to Kansas City from Arkansas 2 months ago, so I haven’t had much of a chance to decide officially. If I did have to pick right now though, I would have to go with KU.
6. Name two interesting things about yourself?
I’m not quite sure if this is considered interesting but I absolutely love traveling and learning about new cultures and languages. I also really enjoy working out and eating healthy. I am currently training for a half marathon that will take place in October. Wish me luck!
7. My favorite KC BBQ is?
Jack Stack. If you haven’t been there yet, your life isn’t complete!
8. What is your favorite web site or app?
This might sound really cheesy, but I really enjoy Instagram and my Fitbit app. I am in love with fitness and achieving my goals. Instagram is very inspirational and encouraging when it comes to being healthy and fit. My Fitbit app keeps pushing me forward everyday to hit my goal.
9. What song best describes your work ethic?
“All in a day’s work” by Dr. Dre. The very beginning of the song I really enjoy how he speaks about “good fear” which can push you to better yourself and in all you do. “Fear, fear’s a powerful thing. I mean it’s got a lot of firepower. If you can figure out a way to wrestle that fear to push you from behind rather than to stand in front of you, that’s very powerful. I always felt that I had to work harder than the next guy, just to do as well as the next guy. And you know, to a certain extent, that’s still with me in how I work, you know, I just...go in.”
10. What do you want someone walking through the door at SquadBuilders to know about the company? About yourself?
SquadBuilders really does want to help good people advance in their careers. We want to help make a positive difference in people’s lives. We have great connections with the best hospitals in the area and if someone is looking to take the next step in their nursing career, come see us. We would love to make it happen.
“We exist to meet the ever-growing demand for highly qualified talent. We believe there are still very good candidates out there and we want to find them and bring them to our customers. We also believe that a strong talent sourcing partnership saves time, money and a lot of headaches. We want to be your partner.”-SquadBuilders
