Last week, we had the honor of attending the 5th Annual KVC Hero Luncheon, held at the brand new Olathe Conference Center at the Embassy Suites.
If you're not familiar with KVC, KVC Health Systems is committed to enriching and enhancing the lives of children and families by providing medical and behavioral healthcare, social services, and education.
It was a wonderful event, and definitely not short on local celebrities helping support the cause! KVC Board Member and KU Men’s Basketball Head Coach Bill Self was on hand, as was actor, comedian, writer, producer and director Rob Riggle. 41 Action News Anchor Christa Dubill and Nate Bukaty from Sports Radio 810 were also in attendance.
It was nothing short of an inspirational luncheon, and we left thinking about what it was that we could specifically do to be a hero for thousands of local children in need. I challenge each of you to find ways to use your powers of courage and compassion to help others!
